THE RETURNING HERO COUNSELING NETWORK

Two nonprofit organizations have launched a new program called the Returning Hero Counseling Network to provide therapy and counseling for U.S. troops who are returning from Iraq and Afghanistan.  The Coalition to Salute America's Heroes, which is dedicated to helping severely wounded War on Terrorism veterans and their families, and Give an Hour, an organization that maintains a national network of licensed mental health volunteers, announced a partnership in this effort

The licensed mental health professionals volunteering in the effort will give an hour of their time each week to provide free mental health services to military personnel and their families.  Give an Hour will continue to recruit volunteers and offers a variety of training opportunities to registered counselors.  If you are a mental health provider and are interested in donating an hour of your time each week, or if you are in need of counseling, please visit www.giveanhour.org.
